LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Russian fighter Maherbeck Tisomov was defeated Saturday by Brazilian rival Carlos Diego Ferreira at a mixed martial arts tournament UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.
The Brazilian fighter managed to beat the Russian in points, with a score of (29-28, 29-27, 29-27), although the latter was the most prominent candidate to win the fight.
Maherbeck Tisomov, 31, had his sixth career loss with 28 wins.
Carlos Ferreira, 34, won his 16th victory, two losses.
