A renowned Egyptian official revealed details of the strangest position between him and Turki Al-Sheikh, owner of the Spanish club Almeria and head of the entertainment authority in Saudi Arabia.
Mortada Mansour, chairman of Zamalek, said in a statement on the sidelines of the club's by-election that he had donated 18 million pounds to the budget, with a surplus of 170 million pounds.
Mansour pointed out that the sheikh had given him 180 million pounds, but had refused to accept them as a gift and had put them in the cash of Zamalek.
Murtaza did not reveal why Al-Sheikh had given him such a sum.
A year ago, the Al-Sheikh bought pyramids in Egypt to invest in them, but ended the investment months ago and bought Almeria in Spain to invest in them.
