She accidentally led a citizen to donate part of his spinal cord to a child he did not know and who had leukemia.
Mabrouk al-Sharari, a resident of Tabarjal, said that he had gone to King Faisal Specialty Hospital about two years ago.
He explained that he had immediately reacted and registered his name among the donors. He had performed the necessary tests and left the hospital. He said, according to the website "ArabNet", that a year later he had received a call from the hospital asking him to give the marrow to the child.
Al-Sharari said that he had immediately agreed to donate, after undergoing a five-hour operation during which the spinal cord had been removed, pointing out that he was suffering from minor complications in the early days, expressing his happiness to donate to the child who had no connection with him.
