Former Saudi captain Sami Al-Jaber apologized on Monday for failing to respond to FIFA's invitation to attend the FIFA 23 awards ceremony in Milan.
He also apologized for his participation in the FIFA Players' Status Committee meeting, to be held three days after the FIFA Awards Ceremony.
Al-Jaber has published on his official Twitter account the invitation of the International Federation.
"Unfortunately, this month's practical commitments do not allow me to accept the invitation to attend and participate."
In December 2017, FIFA selected Sami Al Jaber as a member of the Players Status Commission.
