BAGHDAD (Reuters) – Dozens of people were killed and wounded at the Achoura ceremony in Karbala, south of Baghdad, the Iraqi Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.

Iraqi sources reported the collapse of a corridor during the ceremony of Ashura in Karbala, while the correspondent of "Arab" and "the event" had 31 dead and 96 wounded in Karbala.

Iraqi security officials said the incident in Karbala was caused by the collapse of part of a footbridge during the Ashura ceremony.
