The Mecca police said that security patrols sparked a collective brawl between several Ethiopian nationals near the Asfan highway in northern Jeddah province.

Major Mohammed bin Abdul Wahab Al-Ghamdi, spokesman for the police in Mecca, said that the altercation resulted in one being overthrown as he tried to cross the road, causing his death.

According to Major Al-Ghamdi, ten people involved in the quarrel were arrested and all legal proceedings against them.
