Liverpool deputy chief Pep Lenders clearly explained to his coach Mohamed Salah and his Senegalese colleague Sadio Mane that the Liverpool players had benefited from it.

But FIFA announced the shortlist of the best player at the beginning of the month and the presence of Van Dyke, Messi and Ronaldo.
