Lebanese director Simon Asmar died at the age of 76 as a result of the disease, ending a career rich in artistic gifts.
Asmar is known for presenting several prominent stars on the Lebanese art scene and in the Arab world.
Asmar has won more than 20 art awards from Lebanon and other countries, including the award for "Best TV Creator" in 1994.
The Lebanese director was honored in 2003 for the 44th anniversary of his career.
His name first shone in 1972 through his program "Studio of Art", described as an academy for the graduation of artists.
He has been director of variety programs at the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBC), a member of the board of directors of its programs, as well as MTV and Lebanon Television.
Asmar was nicknamed "The Star Maker" for his contribution to the presentation of a large number of artists from the Lebanese and Arab art scene through his show "Studio El Fan", including Magda El Roumi, Walid Tawfiq, Ragheb Alama, Elissa, Wael Kfoury, Nawal Al Zoghbi, Assi El Hellani, etc. .
Asmar was born in 1943. He studied the arts and sound engineering in 1960, then programming and directing on television in 1968, as well as preparation and presentation classes for artists.
