An asteroid will cross Earth on Saturday, the tallest tallest building on the planet, the BBC reported in a report.
The length of the asteroid approaching the Khalifa and Shanghai towers
The new asteroid, dubbed "QW72000", would have a diameter between 290 and 650 meters, announced NASA. This brings it closer to the tallest buildings in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which measures 2717 feet and the Shanghai Tower at 2073 feet.
The asteroid will fly at 14,361 km / h when it will rise to 3,332,944 miles from Earth at 19:54 eastern time (1:54 pm Sunday, Cairo time).
Astronomers explain how dangerous it is
Astronomers do not believe that the asteroid poses a danger, but the NASA Center for Near-Earth Objects studies it.
According to the data available to NASA, the last time the giant asteroid approached the Earth was on September 1, 2000. Next time, it will probably be October 19, 2038.
This is not the first time that an asteroid is approaching the Earth
This is not the first time in the year that an asteroid has been announced to approach the Earth. In June, astronomers pointed out that telescopes could provide enough warnings to keep people away from an asteroid.
Astronomers from the University of Hawaii have used telescopes to detect a small asteroid before it enters the Earth's atmosphere on the morning of June 22.
The asteroid, named "2019 MO", was 13 feet in diameter and was 310,685 miles from Earth. Atlas facilities have noted four times in 30 minutes in Hawaii.
Atlas, which includes two telescopes 100 miles from Big Island and Maui, scans the entire sky every two nights for asteroids that can affect the Earth. Small asteroids can be detected half a day before reaching the Earth and can indicate large asteroids a few days ago.
