King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah has reopened the Heart Center after being supported by modern equipment and specialized staff. During the month of Dhul-Hijjah, 10 operations were carried out.
Dr. Abdul Rahman Bakhsh, general director of the hospital, said that the reopening of the cardiology department was supported by the health minister and the director of health affairs of Jeddah governorate, in order to relieve public hospitals and private centers because of the increase in the number of heart patients.
He pointed out that the medical team consisted of doctors and cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, anesthesia technicians, cardiac perfusion technicians, operations technicians and nurses from all over the world. operations, as well as physiotherapists, respiratory therapists, clinical nutritionists, clinical pharmacists and intensive care physicians concerned with all aspects of the patient after the operation.
Bakhsh reiterated that the reopening of the cardiology department reflected the ministry's goals as the primary beneficiary, alleviating the suffering of referral to other hospitals, difficulty in admitting and discharging length of waiting lists, which exposed him to the risk of heart attack while waiting for the operation. .
