Spanish League Barcelona convinces and sweeps Valencia in Messi's absence

Barcelona won a 2-0 win over Valencia in the fourth round of the Primera Liga on Saturday, without Lionel Messi.

Barça quickly took the lead thanks to his young star Anso Vati with a goal in the second minute, after a center from Dutch midfielder Franky de Jong.

Fati and De Jong returned to exchange roles and made the latter a second goal on a gold plate in the seventh minute.

French striker Kevin Gamero scored the goal of reducing the gap to Valencia in the 27th minute, after being alone with goalkeeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen. It was canceled before being counted after using video technology.

In the second half, Gerard Piqué followed the return of Antoine Griezmann and goalkeeper Jesper Selesin scored easily in the 51st minute.

Luis Suarez's substitute was able to add a fourth goal in the 61st minute, before scoring almost in the same spot in the 82nd minute after Griezmann made it.

Substitutes Dennis Chereshev and Maxi Gomez collaborated to score the winner's goal in stoppage time.

The win is Barcelona's second win in the league this season, bringing them up to seven points, fourth in the league, two points behind leader Atletico, while Valencia slipped to 15th with four points.
