WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States is based on satellite images and reports that Iran is behind attacks on Saudi oil facilities, US officials said on Monday.
Iran denies participating in Saturday's attacks, claimed by the Houthi group in Yemen.
Under cover of anonymity, US officials have spoken to the US and international press, claiming that the accuracy and scale of the attacks cast doubt on Houthi's statements.
Attacks on global oil supplies had a negative impact of 5% and a significant rise in prices.
