Energy stocks rose strongly on Monday, as the three major US indices fell.
This came after attacks on two Saudi oil facilities fueled investors' concerns about geopolitical risks and the slowdown in the global economy.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 143.24 points, or 0.53%, to 27076.28.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index is down 9.38 points, or 0.31%, to 2,998.01.
The Nasdaq lost 23.17 points, or 0.28%, to 8 153.54.
