HTC's revenue rose by 67% in August, and the company is now planning to return to the railways. It will not be a glamorous start, but HTC's plan for next year is to leverage its expertise in virtual reality technology and 5G networks to help its smartphones regain competition.
Head of HTC's Taiwan subsidiary, Darren Chen, explained that two-thirds of the domestic market is smartphones with prices not exceeding $ 320. Therefore, HTC will launch more smartphones targeting this part of the market. We think we should expect more HTC Wildfire and HTC Desire phones.
For next year, HTC wants to include its virtual reality experience in phones. Although Samsung, Google, Xiaomi and other companies have released many virtual reality headsets compatible with their smartphones, HTC has never done it. The company also wants to promote the HTC Viveport VR app store in collaboration with operators, by offering a smartphone-based headset rather than an independent headset that meets the same smartphone specifications as the HTC Vive Focus headset.
HTC also plans next year to launch 5G-compatible phones, which will also be used for virtual reality. The company is currently marketing a 5G WIFI router called HTC 5G Hhub in some major countries such as the United States.
HTC continues to improve its smartphone based on blockchain technology, and of course, it is the HTC Exodus 1. The company has partnered with Bitcoin.com to update the HTC Exodus 1 to receive the Bitcoin.com Wallet application with Zion Vault support.
This is only the beginning. In the future, HTC will offer discounts if you buy your phone with Bitcoin Cash, while Bitcoin.com will start offering the HTC Exodus 1.
