Riyadh National Guard Hospital Internal Medicine Doctor Dr Abdullah Al-Dhiabi said non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a silent disease that is particularly detected in people between the ages of forty and fifty.
He pointed out that this disease is one of the most common liver diseases and one of the main reasons for liver transplantation, noting that the disease is associated with obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure.
And he noted, according to “previously”, that the most important factors of the disease are also high fat, hypothyroidism and ovarian cysts, as well as certain genetic factors and the consumption of foods high in fructose and fat. .
He pointed out that nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is accidentally discovered at an early stage after having an abdominal scan or liver tests, explaining that the most important symptoms of the disease are fatigue, fatigue, pain in the upper part. right abdomen, enlargement of the blood vessels below the skin’s surface, in addition to an enlarged spleen and yellowing of the skin and eyes.
