Professor of Sharia College at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Sheikh Dr Saad Al-Khathlan, stressed that prayer should be performed on time and should not be delayed without excuse, because it is one of the major sins.
Al-Khathlan said during his reception of the “Istfatounak” program on the “Al-Risala” channel that it is not allowed to combine the prayer of Zuhr with Asr in order to study and teach at a distance, indicating that this is not an excuse and a justification to collect prayer.
He said the Ministry of Education had changed the dates for distance study classes and made it compatible with prayer times in order to overcome the problem that existed at the start of the study.
He added that the time for the midday prayer is long, reaching around 3 or 4 hours, asking, “Does the student not find a time to pray at this time?”, Pointing out that this indicates recklessness and a lack of indifference to this cult.
