The Saudi Customs Authority revealed that it had cooperated with the National Center for Privatization and the relevant authorities to launch a feasibility study on the possibility of private sector participation in the development of land ports.
Saudi Customs said today that in coordination with the National Center for Privatization, it has signed consultancy contracts to study the allocation of land ports.
She explained that the study takes place in two phases to prepare for privatization and that each phase is subject to extensive control checks. The study indicates that there are 3 legal, financial and technical consulting firms.
The study includes 6 main outlets: Al-Batha, Al-Haditha, Khafji, Al-Wadiah, Al-Durrah and Halat Ammar.
The development includes major administrative buildings, passenger areas and freight areas that comply with international port modeling standards.
