Today (Wednesday), the General Department of Traffic noted the date of the start of automatic monitoring for non-compliance with specified lane limits on the roads of Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
The administration confirmed that the surveillance will begin after 7 days in the aforementioned cities, as intelligent technical devices developed by the Saudi company for comprehensive technical and security control “Hakam” will be used in the surveillance process to monitor and photograph offending vehicles.
She indicated that non-compliance with specific lane limits on roads is one of the traffic offenses that disrupt traffic and endanger the lives of others, stressing that the automatic monitoring of this type of offenses aims to preserve the safety of road users.
