Media said parents in Texas were gravely shocked by the death of their baby girl from the emerging coronavirus, hours after she was released from hospital.
The “Daily Mail” newspaper said 5-year-old Tagan White tested positive for coronavirus last week, after appearing inactive and sleeping all day before waking up from vomiting.
When they took her to a hospital emergency room, doctors told the girl’s parents that she was fine and just needed rest to recover from the Corona virus.
After the family returned home, and later that night, the mother went to her little girl’s room to check on her, but she didn’t answer her call and tried to wake her up, so she was rushed to hospital, but it was too late, as Tagan was announced hours later.
The grieving mother explained that her daughter was in good health, surprising her death in this way.
Parents said they were keen for their daughter to wear a protective mask in public places, and even reminded them of the need to wear masks.
The mother explained that doctors told her, after the daughter tested positive for the virus, that there was no need to stay in the hospital and that she would be fine since she was still a child.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, more than 850,000 children worldwide have tested positive for Covid-19, but it indicated that death from this epidemic is not common among children.
Tagan’s father said they wanted to share their story in order to alert other parents to the dangers of the Corona virus to children and the need to exercise caution and caution so that their tragedy does not repeat itself.
