A new opinion poll reveals which Arab country the Israelis most want to strengthen their ties with.

According to the results of the poll conducted by the “Metivim” Institute, and its results were published by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today, Sunday, on its Twitter page, Saudi Arabia was that country.

And 24% of Israelis polled said Saudi Arabia was the Arab country most keen to strengthen relations with it in various areas.

Egypt came in second with 12%, while 11% of Israelis said the UAE is the most Arab country with which to strengthen relations, while Jordan came in fourth with 4%.

Saudi Arabia does not have diplomatic relations with Israel, unlike Egypt, which signed a peace treaty with Tel Aviv in 1979, followed by Jordan in 1994, and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain in September. 2020, while Sudan recently announced its agreement to normalize relations with Israel.

For the first time, last September, Saudi Arabia allowed Israeli planes to Abu Dhabi to pass through its airspace.

Outgoing US President Donald Trump expected a case in which he could win a second term in the US presidential elections, and 10 countries in the Middle East would adhere to peace treaties with Israel.

Saudi Arabia has come under pressure from the Trump administration to urge it to normalize relations with Tel Aviv.

Trump lost the U.S. election to Democratic candidate Joe Biden, raising question marks over the fate of the Trump administration’s peace and normalization deals between Israel and other Arab countries, including the ‘Saudi Arabia.
