US company “Google” has warned users of “Android” phones that their devices may not be secure in the coming period.
According to the “Asharq Al-Awsat” newspaper, “Google” said older “Android” phones would not have secure web parking technologies by September 2021. He explained that users of older phones , starting with the Android Nougat 7.1.1 operating system and older, might need to upgrade their phone ahead of schedule.
The company has stressed that it will not be able to provide security support or secure websites for these phones gradually in 2021, and will be phasing out support permanently in September 2021.
For their part, several experts proposed an alternative which they qualified as good in the event that a person does not wish to update his “Android” phone. Emphasizing that this alternative is to install the browser “Mozilla Firefox”, which supports safe browsing technologies and secure websites on these devices.
