A specialist in infectious diseases at the French Institute “Pasteur Lyell”, Daniel Camus, confirmed that the vaccine announced by the American Pfizer and the German BioNTech, did not specify the duration of its vaccination to its recipient, and of other data about it.
He said: “It is important news that they have been able to develop 90% protection, but they have not yet published the results, so the number of data is still unknown.”
He added: “The study used new technologies, but it is not yet clear which ones.”
Camus highlighted a flaw in the Western vaccine, which is “the need to administer the second dose three weeks after the first”.
And he stressed: “What is needed is to have an effective vaccine from the first dose.”
And the American company Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech announced the successful completion of the third phase of clinical trials on its vaccine, which showed 90% effectiveness in protecting against corona, as confirmed.
