2020 releases in the Arab world: the decline of music

Before the Corona virus reached an advanced stage and the ban was imposed on various countries around the world, the artist, Amr Diab, had released his entire new album, in a step that was considered a adventure for Diab in view of the atmosphere that surrounded everyone, on the health, economic and even political levels. Perhaps Diab tried to take the risk to return to his favorite place: light, which he says is still very present, is working on a new production, and can use it for the benefit of another. generation of young people. In return, the young people supported the “plateau” through live broadcasting services and electronic platforms.
In album form, Amr Diab once again triumphed through his singularity, especially with his Egyptian colleagues. In content, he shifted the mood somewhat and moved away from the traditional adopted in previous albums, and gave prominence to words in most of the songs and ideas included in the album. The group includes songs such as: “My Uncle El Tabib” and “Sahran” and others from a series that contained 12 songs, six of which were released by Diab in the summer of 2019, on the production company Qu ‘he owns, namely “Nai”.

It should be noted that the musical productions for the first half of 2020 are numbered compared to previous years. The summer stage did not reveal any new issues, and this is understandable, given the fear of production companies, and the reduction in working time in their institutions, and therefore wages.
There are only a handful of singles who have made only slight gains.
Amr Diab may have won another round as part of his well-known annual plan. While a group of his competitors was absent from the circle. And he remained alone, facing the popular songs which have been very popular since the beginning of this year. “Bint Al Jeeran”, the song performed by Hassan Shakoush, passed the stage of success, and in a matter of weeks, it was able to compete with most of the songs released earlier this year.

Singer Sherine was absent from any lyrical art release, as was Hani Shaker, who didn’t have a chance to release new songs. Tamer Hosni was not absent: last February, coinciding with the release of Diab’s album, he released a single called “Fi Ba3ak”, but he did not receive the desired response.
In Lebanon, singer Nancy Ajram chose the occasion of “Valentine’s Day” on February 14 to release the song “My Heart Oh My Heart”, which was shot in Turkey. But the Lebanese situation in general could not interact with the show, for many reasons, including the economic situation in Lebanon and what warns people that the next one is more difficult.
According to what is mentioned in the figures from “YouTube”, the song reached 18 million listeners in five months, and that is good for Ajram, who postponed the release.

Her colleague Elisa was absent from the release of her album and she chose to release songs individually, until Corona calmed down and the world recovered.
Today, some people are trying to wait until summer, in light of reports that most of the artists have recorded new songs, waiting for Faraj time to announce their new songs, in order to ensure the movement of interaction with the public, in the absence of concerts and art festivals until early next year. Thus, it is clear that the decline of Arab music is due to many reasons, which are in fact the lack of interest of Arab artists or singers in general for quality and music and the reliance on fame and archives that made them famous.
