“Disney Plus” content provided by the “Walt Disney” Company will be available for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa, via pay-TV services in both regions and the online streaming service provided by “ OSN ”, from April 9 of this year.

OSN CEO Patrick Tillieu told Reuters the network had signed a “long-term” deal for exclusive distribution rights, but declined to disclose further details.

The original Disney Plus programming will be available through OSN’s pay TV and Internet streaming services in 17 regional markets, including Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The monthly cost of the Internet streaming service is $ 9.50.

OSN has said that this will be the first time that content from Disney Plus, Walt Disney’s online streaming service, has been distributed through a third party. The deal is likely to increase competition with “Netflix”, for example, which has a strong regional presence.
