today’s events – A new study, conducted by the University of Cambridge, Britain, has found that the emergence of the corona virus “seriously” threatens the mental health of people, especially those suffering from social and economic deprivation.
The study, published in the journal “Psychological Medicine,” was conducted on a sample of 957 adults, who were contacted personally to find out the implications of their exposure to quarantine and lockdown measures.
The research team found that Corona and its repercussions lead to serious threats to public mental health, especially for people who suffer from social and economic deprivation.
The study indicated that all the decisions and procedures that accompanied Corona led to an increase in psychological, social and economic pressures on vulnerable families, who were already suffering from poor conditions such as unemployment and food insecurity.
She explained that all of these things put their owners at risk for serious mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, and stress.
The United Nations had previously warned that “Covid 19” raises a major global crisis in mental health, calling for urgent action to address the psychological problems caused by the disease.
