The official report from Iranian club Persepolis officially announced the AFC’s decision regarding the protest lodged by the Al-Nasr club to the AFC appeal committee.
Al-Nassr fell, with penalties (3-5) past Iran Persepolis, in the semi-finals of the 2020 AFC Champions League, which was hosted by Doha, Qatar, after the end of the initial and prolonged time, with a positive draw (1-1).
After the match, Al-Nasr lodged a complaint against Persepolis, for the Iranian side’s involvement with new players on the Asian roster, despite FIFA’s decision to prevent the club from contracting.
The Asian Football Confederation dismissed Al-Nasr’s complaint, so the board of directors of Safwan Al-Suwaiket decided to file a new appeal to the appeal committee.
And the Iranian club Persepolis’ official account released, that the protest made by Al-Nasr Club, was formally rejected by the Asian Football Confederation’s appeal board.
Persepolis has sent a message to fans of the squad that he will be present in the AFC Champions League final game, scheduled for December 19.
