The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Center and Foundation, Princess Ghida Talal, launched the King Hussein Prize for Cancer Research, in memory of King Hussein bin Talal, and to strengthen the scientific research in the field of cancer in the Arab world.
The Princess said: “The Hussein Prize is honored to bear the name of Hussein bin Talal, who believed in the importance of research and faced cancer with all faith and determination. This prize will transform the course of research into the Arab region and will devote its efforts to scientific progress to save thousands of cancer patients. “
The award targets leaders and academics in the Arab world, in the areas of research granting, innovative research projects, lifelong achievement and institutional excellence. The board of trustees of the award includes a group of researchers and doctors from around the world led by Princess Ghida Talal.
