For 30 years, a British resident has spent every weekend cleaning the beaches of Khobar from debris and trash left by hikers, in a personal initiative born out of his love and concern for the environment.
The seventieth British resident, Neil Walker, said in a report presented by the Al-Akhbariya channel that he came to the Kingdom 30 years ago, and when he wanted to go to the beach for his weekly vacation , he saw trash and bottles strewn on the beach, which prompted him to clean it up to have a good time.
He added that his job of cleaning the beach prompted safety authorities and the coast guard to ask him what he was doing to make sure he did not do an act that could affect his safety and everyone, noting that he had made it clear to them that what he was doing was motivated by him to protect the environment.
