News 24 | Teachers, then officers, topped the list for early retirement

The Public Pensions Agency published its quarterly statistical bulletin dealing with early retirement until the end of the third quarter of 2020 AD, when the average retirement age for men was 50 and 52 years for women.

The Foundation revealed in its report that owners of educational jobs are at the top of the early retirement list, with 81% of teachers retiring prematurely, followed by managers at a rate of 53%, then 40% health jobs, then 32% professors, then civil servants at a rate of 28%.

She said the average length of service was 25.3 years for women, compared to 24.8 years for men. Early retirement represented 31% of the reasons for retirement for both sexes in the military and civilian funds, while reaching retirement age represented 53% of the reasons for retirement.

The bulletin highlighted average tenure by career ladder and gender, which confirmed the increase in average tenure in faculty positions and its decrease in jobs for employees of both sexes, and civilians accounted for 65 % of the number of early retirees.
