An online campaign to combat violence against women in the Arab region

The Arab Women’s Organization has launched an electronic campaign on its social media pages on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, as part of the 16-day campaign against violence against women.

The organization said in a statement yesterday that the campaign includes information on the efforts of Arab countries and the measures they have taken to combat and encircle the phenomenon of violence against women and girls, as well as data and statistics on the reality of violence against women in the world.

The campaign also includes the preparation of a scientific study on (the consequences of disasters and crises on women in the Arab region), particularly in light of the spread of the Coronavirus, and following preventive measures imposed by governments. , as well as the realization of a regional study entitled (Violence against the elderly in the Arab region with Focus on the status of women) in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund.
