The UK Medicines Regulatory Authority has announced that anyone who is intolerant to a medicine or food should not receive the Pfizer vaccine.

John Ryan, CEO of the Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency, said: “Anyone with a history of anaphylaxis to a vaccine, drug or food should not receive a Pfizer vaccine.

He added: “A second dose should not be given to anyone who has suffered from anaphylaxis after giving the first dose of this vaccine.”

Ryan continued, “I warned earlier that people who suffer from a ‘major allergic reaction’ to these things should not be vaccinated, without specifying anaphylaxis.
