A member of the Council of Senior Researchers, Sheikh Saad Al-Shathry, explained the decision on performing the Sunnah of Fajr after the obligatory prayer.
Al-Shathry said during one of the episodes of “Fatawa” on the “Saudi” channel, that if dawn comes, there is no prayer except that prescribed, but if it is. felt that a person could not perform Fajr Sunnah before him, then there is nothing wrong with praying Fajr Sunnah after obligatory prayer.
He added that the Sunnah prayer after dawn, if the worshiper does not follow it before dawn, is an exception to the times of prohibition.
