Earlier Thursday, Yemeni sources said that a Saudi military force had arrived in Abyan governorate to oversee the implementation of the military and security measures of the Riyadh accord between the government and the Transitional Council of the South demanding secession, in preparation for the announcement of the new government.

The sources said a Saudi military force came from the eastern province of Hadramawt and arrived in the coastal town of Shakra, which is the headquarters of government forces operations in Abyan governorate, southern Yemen.

This comes in order to oversee the implementation of the military measures of the Riyadh Accord and the separation of the warring forces in the vicinity of Zanzibar, the capital of Abyan.

The Saudi military force includes a number of Saudi officers, who came to Abyan in five armored military vehicles, accompanied by military crews.
