Portugal’s Raphael Leao, the 21-year-old striker from Milan, set an all-time record in the Italian football league on Sunday, scoring the fastest goal in the history of the competition.
Liao’s goal against host Sassuolo came just 6 seconds after the referee blew his whistle at the start of the match which took place in the 13th round of “Calcio”.
According to the global football statistics network “Opta”, Liao’s goal is the fastest in Italian League history.
The fastest goal was scored by Paolo Buggy, who scored with Piacenza in December 2001, 8 seconds after kick-off.
