Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said additional normalization agreements between Tel Aviv and Arab and Islamic countries would be announced sooner than expected, while Indonesia or Oman could normalize relations with Israel.

During his meeting with US Ambassador to the United Nations Kelly Craft in occupied Jerusalem on Thursday, Netanyahu added that it can be seen that some Arab countries are already moving towards normalization and others are making progress. .

The Israeli Jerusalem Post reported that Indonesia and the Sultanate of Oman are on the verge of establishing relations with Israel, and it cited a diplomatic source – whose name it did not mention – that normalization with these two countries was at a more advanced stage than other countries.

The newspaper also quoted Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen as saying that there was a possibility of reaching deals with Indonesia, Oman, Mauritania, Niger and Saudi Arabia, and referred to the possibility of an Asian country – whose name he did not mention – other than Indonesia.

The past few months have seen agreements to normalize relations between Israel and 4 Arab countries, namely UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.

The Arab states have joined the new printing press in Egypt and Jordan, which have formal relations with Israel under two peace agreements since 1979 and 1994, respectively.
