Four Arab players have entered the list of the 100 best players in the world for the “exceptional” year 2020, published by the British newspaper “The Guardian”.
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s top scorer, was ranked among the best players at Arab level, and held second place in Africa and eighth in the world.
Moroccan Hakim Ziyech, a Chelsea player, came second in the Arab world and fourth in Africa and in the sixty-year-old world, followed by compatriot Ashraf Hakimi, an Inter Milan player, ranked third in the Arab world and sixth in Africa, and ranked 76th in the world.
For his part, the Algerian star, Riyad Mahrez, the Manchester City player, ranked seventh in Africa and 77th globally.
Only one player representing an Arab club, Argentina’s Ever Banega, the star of the Saudi youth squad, entered the list of the top 100 players in the world 2020, published by the British newspaper The Guardian, and placed himself. 93rd in the ranking of the best players in the world.
