An official source at the Saudi Interior Ministry announced the extension of the suspension of international flights and entry into the Kingdom through land and sea ports for an additional week.
The source said it was a supplement to the statement issued 5/5/1442 AH, corresponding to 12/20/2020 AD; Regarding the spread of a new mutated type of the emerging corona virus (Covid 19), in a number of countries, and the precautionary measures decided in this regard, such as the suspension of international flights for travelers – except in exceptional cases – temporarily for a week, which can be extended by one week, and the suspension of entry into the Kingdom via land and sea ports, temporarily for a week, which can be extended by one week.
He continued: “And in the desire to continue to assess the situation for an additional week, and to ensure that the public health of citizens and residents is protected and their safety is guaranteed, the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided to extend the work of the aforementioned measures by a week, with a focus on the exclusion from the movement of goods, goods and supply chains, as well as the authorization of departure. Non-Saudis, by flights, from the territory of the Kingdom, according to the precautionary measures decided by the Ministry of Health.
