The Shura Council discussed the report of the Health Committee on the annual report of the Ministry of Health for the fiscal year 1440/1441 AH.
A board member Dr Samia Bukhari called on the ministry to create jobs for public health graduates, stressing that the number of graduates who suffer from unemployment is large, despite the importance of their specialties.
The committee made a number of recommendations after completing the study of the ministry’s report, including accelerating the completion of the electronic health system infrastructure to serve primary health care, and called to investigate the possibility of posting Saudi primary care consultants who work in hospitals to work in health centers with periodic clinics and with appropriate incentives to address the shortage in this regard. The committee stressed the importance of coordination with relevant authorities to adopt initiatives and approve incentives to increase the percentage of Saudi practitioners in the private sector.
