Books – Moataz Abbas:

Dr Gad El-Kady, president of the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, said astronomy is the science that concerns the Earth or the planets of the solar system.

During his meeting with the program “Al-Hayat Al-Youm”, broadcast today on the Al-Hayat satellite channel, Al-Qadi clarified that the succession of seasons is a small part of astronomy, stressing that there are specialized groups to monitor NEOs.

He pointed out that there were many rumors circulated on social media about asteroids colliding with Earth, pointing out that God created the universe with wisdom and that there is no possibility that an asteroid collides with Earth or one celestial body collides with another.

He added that the first solar eclipse we will see from Egypt will be in 2028, noting that the most important thing that has been observed in 2020 in astronomy is the great conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn, in addition to the solar cycles.

He pointed out that astronomical phenomena can be used to know the borders of countries and that they contributed to Egypt’s restoration of Taba from occupation.
