The National Center for Disease Prevention and Control “Weqaya” clarified today (Wednesday) that it is necessary to check the state of health of two groups when receiving the Corona vaccine (Covid 19), with which the Ministry of Health has started to vaccinate in its centers.
He stressed that the first category includes people who received plasma therapy after becoming infected with the virus, and that these vaccinations should be postponed for at least 90 days after recovery, as a precautionary measure to avoid interfering with antibody treatment with immune responses stimulated by the vaccine.
He added that the second category concerns those who have contact with a person infected with the corona, stressing that the vaccine does not prevent the emergence of the infection if given to people after exposure to the virus, and therefore people who have been in contact with an infected person should not seek vaccination before the end of the quarantine period, to avoid exposing health workers and others to the infection. .
