According to Laha magazine, Palestinian critic Ola Al-Sheikh posted a photo of the late director Hatem Ali on his Facebook account, and the sheikh said in the colloquial spoken language: “It didn’t get better than this morning, but today it’s a lot of trouble, I can’t believe you left. The magazine said the latest photo was taken by the Syrian artist while he was at a hotel in the Zamalek district of the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Syrian newspaper “Al-Watan” revealed that Syrian director Hatem Ali, 58, had died in Egypt following a sudden heart attack.

The Qasr al-Nile prosecutor’s office in Egypt decided to allow the burial of Hatem Ali’s body, after investigations concluded that the death was the natural result of a heart attack and that there was no was no criminal suspicion of death.
