Microsoft announced that the hacking group that had infiltrated the systems of the company “SolarWinds” was able to penetrate its systems and access part of its source code.
She said: “The investigation revealed flaws in a small number of internal accounts, and that one of those accounts was used to access source code at some storage sites.”
She added, “The account did not have the ability to monitor any Microsoft code” and found no evidence that the breach reached production departments or customer data.
And she continued: “The investigation, which is still ongoing, also found no indication that our systems were used to attack others.”
