News 24 | Sheikh “Al-Sanad” clarifies role of man “of authority” if shops are not closed during prayer time according to new regulations

The General Chairman of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sanad, explained the human role of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice in the case where the shops would not be closed at the time of prayer according to the new organization of the Commission.

He said – during his interview with Al-Arabiya TV today, Friday – that if shops are not closed at prayer time, the new regulations state that the commission member will alert the perpetrator of the violation. several times, up to 3 times, and if it breaks after that, the authority will submit a memorandum to the police to deal with the offender.

He responded to a question regarding the role of the authority in festivals and events, namely that the authority has signed memoranda with the Ministry of Tourism and others to participate in national events in coordination with the relevant authorities. on the working mechanism, its scope and the limits of participation.

He pointed out that the powers of the Commission are based on Sharia law, not on following a habit or advisability of something, but rather on ruling on the Book of God and Sunnah of its messenger ( God bless him and grant him peace) and the rules established by the tutor.
