Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, confirmed that the Kingdom’s policy is based on a firm approach to achieve the supreme interests of the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
He added, Monday, that the summit of the Cooperation Council scheduled for Tuesday, will unify speech and class.
He also added that the Kingdom will translate at the summit the aspirations of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council states for reunification, stressing that at the summit, it will also seek solidarity in the face of the challenges of the region.
In addition, he made it clear that the summit will strengthen the march towards good and prosperity, announcing Saudi Arabia’s agreement to open the skies and borders with Qatar.
He stressed that his country is deploying all its efforts in the interest of the good and the security of the peoples of the GCC and the Arab countries.

Opening the skies between Saudi Arabia and Qatar
On Monday, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah announced the opening of the skies and borders between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, starting tonight.
He added that the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, had made two appeals to the Saudi Crown Prince and the Emir of Qatar, confirming the agreement to open the sky and the land and sea borders between the two countries.

The Kuwaiti official added that all parties have stressed the need for unity, reunification and the collection of speech.
It should be noted that the GCC summit will be held on Tuesday at its 41st session, in Al-Ula, in the north-west of the Kingdom, at the invitation of King Salman, with the participation of the leaders of the member states of the Council.
