The “wabetainfo” website revealed a new feature that WhatsApp is about to launch, called “Read Later” or “Read Later”, which is a better alternative than the “Archived Discussions” or “Archived Conversations” feature.
According to Al-Hurra, the new feature allows conversations that the user does not want to see their messages immediately after reaching the app, in another section called “Read Later”, where they can view them later.
Conversations chosen by the user will move to the new section without opening and without the sender showing a sign that the message has been read by the recipient.
Conversations placed in this section will also be distinguished by the fact that they will not emit any written or audio alerts regarding any new message that appears in the conversation.
Messages can be browsed in “Read Later” which will be available in the “Chat” section at the top of the screen, next to “Status”, and Calls.
The site indicated that the feature will be available soon for Android operating systems, without disclosing a specific site or its launch in the iOS operating system.
It is reported that WhatsApp, a subsidiary of parent company, Facebook, has come under fire in recent days.
Social media giant “Facebook” has faced harsh criticism over its policies regarding the privacy of its customers and the sharing of their data with advertising companies and even political advertisers.
While the company has denied WhatsApp rumors of keeping user chats on its servers except in specific cases, and has confirmed that no one can see them.
The WhatsApp app said in a message received by all of its subscribers that privacy procedures do not affect sharing of user information with Facebook, and a report from “Wired” said the final step intends to focus on using in-app ads, and that WhatsApp has, for years, shared user information with Facebook.
