Russia’s international reserves increased from December 25 to January 1 by $ 5 billion, according to data from the Russian Central Bank.

According to the data, reserves, which include foreign cash and gold, have increased from $ 592.4 billion (December 25, 2021) to $ 597.4 billion (January 1, 2020).

Thus, reserves increased in one week by 5 billion dollars.

The Russian central bank attributed the rise in reserves to several reasons, including a revaluation of the exchange rate and rising gold prices in world markets.

Reserves hit an all-time high last summer, reaching $ 600.7 billion.
