Arab Education Ministers closed today (Wednesday) their meeting in Cairo hosted by the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia remotely to discuss and endorse the “Document for the Development of Education in the Arab world “prepared by the Arab Parliament. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Sheikh, in the presence of the Secretary General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Abul-Gheit, Arab Ministers of Education , the Director-General of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization, Dr Muhammad Ould Omar, and the President of the Arab Parliament, Dr Mishaal-Salami bin Fahm.
The agenda for the meeting contained two sessions; The first was an opening session which included a speech by the Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, a speech by the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami, and a speech by the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Abu Al-Ghait.
The second was the document approval session, which included a review of the most important features of the “Document on the Development of Education in the Arab World” presented by the Arab Parliament, and the words of Their Excellencies Arab Ministers education.
The meeting ended with the adoption of the< Document pour le développement de l'éducation dans le monde arabe >> prepared by the Arab Parliament as a policy document for the development of education in the Arab world, which aims to establish high-quality Arab education systems capable of global competition and to absorb modern variables in the field of education at all stages, and to strengthen the status of scientific research, Keep pace with the evolution of the knowledge society and the revolution in communications and information technology.
The meeting raised two telegrams of thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for hosting the meeting, thanking the Kingdom of Arabia Saudi Arabia for hosting the meeting, appreciating their sincere efforts to support and strengthen joint Arab action and the noble positions taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for defense. The gathering congratulated the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques and his faithful Crown Prince on the anniversary of the ninetieth national day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which falls today 23 September 2020, an occasion which deserves to be commended for the specific efforts, initiatives, measures and programs undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of educational support and development.
