Technical accounts circulated an audio recording attributed to Syrian director Hatem Ali and it was said to be his last before his death, as he sent it to his friend, Jordanian director Samer Jabr.

Hatem Ali says in the audio recording: “Hello Samer. Hello, my love. We are here. You just know the time, but I am very healthy.”
He added, “I’m in Montreal, okay, sitting in stone, waiting for something to happen on this planet so we know we’re going to work.”
The audience was affected by hearing Hatem’s latest audio message, especially the phrase “Until something happens on this planet”, and what happened was that he passed away. 2020.
Hatem Ali died of a heart attack in Cairo on Tuesday December 29 at the age of 58. His body was buried in the Syrian capital, Damascus, after arriving from Cairo.
