Today, Sunday evening, the Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, issued royal ordinances, which included joining the Ministry of “Housing” to the Ministry of “Municipal and Rural Affairs”, and changing his name to become “Ministry of Affairs and Housing”.
A royal ordinance was also issued requiring that the expert committee of the Saudi Council of Ministers, within a period not exceeding three months from its date, “complete the necessary legal procedures to enforce the requirements of our ordinance, including including the transfer and definition of functions, equipment, employees, jobs, property, articles, credits, etc. ”, and“ the review of regulations. ”And regulations, orders, royal orders, decisions and other things that have been affected by what is set out in this decree and what is necessary in relation to them to carry out the necessary legal proceedings.
Other royal orders included the appointment of Majid bin Abdullah bin Hamad al-Hogail as Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, and Dr Fahd bin Abdullah bin Abdul Latif al-Mubarak, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers his post.
Dr Ahmed bin Abdul Karim al-Khulaifi, Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, was also dismissed from his post and Dr Fahd bin Abdullah bin Abdul Latif al-Mubarak was appointed Governor of the Saudi Central Bank to the rank of Minister.

And after reading the Law on the Cabinet published by Royal Decree No. (A / 13) of 3/3/1414 AH.
And after reading the relevant laws, regulations, ordinances, royal decrees and decisions.
Based on public interest.
We’ve ordered what’s to come:
First: The Ministry of “Housing” is attached to the Ministry of “Municipal and Rural Affairs” and its name is changed to “Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing”.
Second: the Council of Experts within the Council of Ministers – in coordination with any person it deems appropriate from the competent authorities – within a period not exceeding three months from the date of the following day:
1- Complete the legal procedures necessary to enforce this requirement of our order, including the transfer and definition of functions, equipment, employees, jobs, properties, items, credits and others.
2- Examine the laws, regulations, decrees, royal decrees, decisions and others which have been affected by what has been mentioned in our ordinance, and propose what is necessary with regard to them, to complete the necessary legal procedures.
Third: our case is reported to the relevant authorities for approval and implementation.

First: Major General / Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al Yahya (Director General of Passports) is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Second: His Highness the Minister of the Interior must apply this decree.
