Professor of archeology at King Saud University, Dr Suleiman Al-Dheeb, said he discussed the Mada’in Saleh issue about 30 years ago and that some of his articles and writings did not not been accepted and had been rejected at the time.
He explained, during his interview with the program “Direct Question” on the channel “Al-Arabiya”, that there is a legal fatwa issued by the Council of Senior Researchers, which saw that Mada’in Saleh, who currently exists, is “Al-Hijr”, where it is called Hajar, and this is the site where a good people once stood, peace be upon them. However, he does not agree with this view.
The academic added that the currently available physical evidence is not available in the planned “stone”, and that the place where the torture took place is not the current place known as Mada’in Saleh, so it has no effect on existence. torture, whether this is what is described in the Holy Quran or in the Sunnah of the Prophet, and that the region in which the torment took place was in the valley of the villages, but it is not known exactly where the site is .
He pointed out that what we need now is the attention of the relevant authorities to permanently resolve this issue, as there is no real physical evidence that this is the right place, and that Mada’in Saleh was related to a people just because the name belongs to a governor of the Ottoman governors who ordered the digging of 7 wells, and because water is associated with cities according to the Arabs, the site was therefore called Madain, and they attributed it to those who dug wells, and it has nothing to do with the prophet Saleh, peace be upon him, and he indicated that the references and books before the ruler Saleh do not reference to Mada’in Saleh
Al-Deeb asked: Is it possible that this site is the one in which the torment occurred when it was only discovered 50 or 100 years ago? so why weren’t they alerted and removed ?, and have we discovered today what was not discovered by those who came before us for 1400 years?
And he indicated that the residents who were there left the scene and were compensated, adding that now is the time to study this matter a scientific study of Islamic historical truth, as it leads to a court ruling, concluding that he does not say that his opinion is correct and that others are wrong, calling for sitting together away from the media for the sake of real scientific work to show the truth.
Controversial secret behind #Ula And Madaen Saleh and forbid their visit.
